Customize Theme and Appearance

Configure the platform theme mode and color, as well as the titles and icons for the browser, login interface, and platform interface.

About this task

You can change each of the following settings independently and save it in the corresponding dialog box. Changes to the theme mode and color affect the interface appearance for all platform administrators and users.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, choose System Management > Theme and Appearance.
  2. Set the theme mode: In the Global Appearance section, click the edit button next to Theme.
    1. In the Set Theme Mode dialog box, select Light Mode, Dark Mode, or System.
System automatically switches between light and dark modes based on your operating system settings.
    2. Optional: To adjust the display effects for dark mode, select Soft, Standard, Clear, or Custom in the Dark Mode Display Effects section.
      • After selecting Custom, adjust Brightness, Contrast, and Grayscale using the sliders or by entering integers from 0 to 100.
      • Click Restore Defaults in this section to restore the dark mode display effects to Standard. This does not change the theme mode, color, titles, or icons.
Note: This section appears only when Dark Mode is selected, or when System is selected and your operating system is currently in dark mode. These display effects do not apply in light mode.
    3. Preview the effects and click OK to save the settings.
Click Cancel to discard the preview without saving your changes.
  3. Set the theme color: In the Global Appearance section, click the edit button next to Theme Color. In the Set Theme dialog box, select one of the eight available colors and click OK to save the settings.

What to do next

To change the display mode only in your current browser, click your username in the upper-right corner and select Light, Dark, or System under Theme. This choice is saved in the current browser. A subsequent update to the platform theme mode overrides this choice, after which you can adjust it again from the user menu.
