Block Storage
Vhost High-Performance Block Gateway Lifecycle Management
Starting with ZStack ZStone 5.5.12, you can centrally manage Vhost clients under , including creating gateways, viewing details, modifying settings, and deleting gateways.
You can select a performance mode, configure storage network and hugepage memory, and choose automatic CPU allocation or manual core selection during modification to meet different client resource requirements.
Changing runtime settings restarts the Vhost client and may cause volume reconnections and service pauses. Unmount all volumes before deletion.
Hardware
Vhost Switch for High-Performance Storage Clusters
Starting with ZStack ZStone 5.5.12, a Vhost switch is available when initializing a high-performance storage cluster. You can configure the cluster's Vhost capability according to deployment requirements.
Monitoring Management
Enhanced Slow Disk Alarm Display
ZStack ZStone 5.5.12 enhances slow disk alarm display for general-purpose storage and high-performance storage data disks by converting metrics and numeric values into readable status descriptions. General-purpose storage data disks display Suspected Slow Disk, Confirmed Slow Disk, or Critical Slow Disk. High-performance storage data disks display Slow Disk Warning, Severe Slow Disk, or Critical Slow Disk. These descriptions help identify slow disk issues and their severity.
Enhanced Network Health Alarm Display
ZStack ZStone 5.5.12 enhances network health alarm display by converting metrics and numeric values into readable status descriptions for degraded network paths, critical network path issues, and critical network physical layer issues. These descriptions help distinguish network path degradation from critical issues and track network health.
Other Enhancements and Fixes
- Improved Monitoring Data Display for High-Performance Block Storage Volumes: Fixed an issue where volumes with the same name in different storage pools displayed mixed monitoring data. IOPS, bandwidth, and latency monitoring on volume details pages now distinguishes volumes by storage pool.
