View Network Topology
About this task
Network topology is centered around a distributed switch and shows the network relationships among clusters, hosts, distributed port groups, and virtual machines associated with the distributed switch.
Procedure
- In the navigation pane, choose .
- In the resource tree, select the target distributed switch.
- On the target distributed switch details page, click the Network Topology tab.
- View the resource connection relationships displayed in the network topology.
Supported Network Topology Operations
When viewing network topology, you can use the following operations to adjust the topology view or view resource relationships.
| Operation | Description |

| Refresh | Displays the latest network topology. |
| Zoom In / Zoom Out | Zooms in or out on the network topology. |
| Default Position | Returns to the origin of the topology canvas. |
| Export | Exports the network topology as a PNG image. |
| Hide / Show Virtual Machines | Hides or shows virtual machines in the network topology. |
| Full Screen | Displays the network topology in full screen. |
| Highlight | Selects a resource and highlights the resource and its associated resources. |
| Hover | Displays resource information when you hover over a resource, and supports opening the resource details. |
| Search | Searches topology resources by resource name or UUID. |
