State, Status, and Maintenance
Data storage has two status dimensions: state and status. State reflects administrative operations such as enabling, disabling, deletion, and maintenance. Status reflects the connection between data storage and hosts.
State
Data storage includes the following states:
- Enabled: Virtual machines can be created on the data storage.
- Disabled: Virtual machines and snapshots cannot be created on the data storage.
- Deleting: Data storage enters this state during deletion. No other operations are supported in this state.
- Maintenance Mode: Administrators can perform maintenance on data storage in this mode. After data storage enters maintenance mode, disks on the data storage become unavailable, and VM-related resources on the data storage are stopped.
Status
Status reflects the network connection between data storage and hosts. It includes Connecting, Connected, and Disconnected. When the network is unstable, the status of data storage might change. In the platform, reconnecting data storage can change its status.
