Other Improvements and Fixes
Storage Resource
Fault Domains for Storage Pools
In previous versions, storage pools supported only server-level fault domains by default. Starting from ZStack ZStone 4.3.6, three data redundancy levels are available when creating a storage pool: server, rack, and room. Users can select a level based on the planned topology and workload requirements.
Storage-Pool Capacity Usage Forecast
Starting from ZStack ZStone 4.3.6, a capacity usage forecast card is available on the storage pool details page. Based on historical capacity usage, the system forecasts usage for the next 30 days. This helps users plan storage budgets, avoid overinvestment or insufficient capacity, and improve storage utilization.
Optimized Storage-Pool Capacity Calculation
- Replica-based pool capacity: Total capacity = Raw capacity / Number of replicas.
- EC-based pool capacity: Total capacity = Raw capacity × Data blocks / (Data blocks + Parity blocks).
Optimized Data Consistency Checks
ZStack ZStone 4.3.6 extends the storage-pool data consistency check interval from 28 days to 30 days, increasing the likelihood that a consistency check can be completed within four hours.
Hardware Resource
Custom Topology
Topology Planning for Visual Hardware Resource Management
ZStack ZStone 4.3.6 adds a Topology menu that provides an intuitive visual interface for physical resource deployment in a cluster. Users can add, delete, or modify relationships among data centers, rooms, racks, and servers through simple drag-and-drop and click operations, improving topology planning and management. Storage-pool data redundancy policies can then be configured based on the topology.
Topology View for Data-Disk Selection
Starting from ZStack ZStone 4.3.6, users can select data disks in a topology view when creating a storage pool. The system displays the corresponding topology based on the pool's data redundancy level. The pages for adding and removing data disks also use a more intuitive topology view.
License Management
USB Key-Based License Authorization
Starting from ZStack ZStone 4.3.6, licenses support USB key-based authorization. Insert a USB security key containing an encrypted license file into a management node to complete authorization securely and conveniently.
Other Improvements and Fixes
- Optimizes search on the Operation Log page by adding Login IP and Operation ID as search criteria and removing UUID.
