Add ZCE Distributed Storage

Before you begin

  • You have set up the ZCE distributed storage on the storage side. To use specified image cache pools and data disk pools, create the corresponding storage pools in the distributed storage cluster in advance.
  • Plan a dedicated storage network in advance to avoid network congestion.
  • Check the quantity and type limitations between the cluster and the data storage to be attached. For more information, see Clusters and Data Storage.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, choose Inventory > Data Storage.
  2. Select the target data center and click Actions > Add Data Storage.
  3. In the Add Data Storage dialog, configure the following options:

    Basic Information

    Option Description
Name Enter a name for the distributed storage.
Description Enter a brief description for the data storage.
    Type Select Distributed Storage ZCE.
Data Center Displays the data center that contains the ZCE distributed storage.

    Configurations

    Option Description
Cluster Select the cluster where the ZCE distributed storage will be attached.
Key Authentication Choose whether to use key authentication for distributed storage. Default: Enabled.
Note: Make sure the key authentication setting on the distributed storage side is consistent with this option. If key authentication is not disabled on distributed storage but is disabled here, VM creation might fail, and vice versa.
Monitoring Node Add monitoring nodes and configure the management IP address, SSH port, username, and password of each monitoring node.
Image Cache Pool Specify a storage pool for image caches. If left empty, the system creates one automatically.
Storage Pool Specify a storage pool for data volumes. If left empty, the system creates one automatically.
Storage Network Enter the CIDR of the storage network specified for the ZCE distributed storage.
  4. Review the configuration and click OK.
