Expand SAN Storage
When SAN storage capacity can no longer meet business requirements, you can add new LUNs or expand existing LUNs.
Before you begin
Before expanding SAN storage, expand the LUNs of iSCSI, FC, or NVMe storage in the physical environment.
Procedure
-
Expand the LUNs of iSCSI storage, FC storage, or NVMe storage in the physical environment.
After LUN expansion succeeds, return to the platform. On the tab, you can view block device usage or manually click the refresh button to obtain the latest storage information.
- Navigate to the target SAN storage page.
- Go to the Shared Block tab.
-
Click Add and select the newly expanded LUN.
Note: If data exists on the LUN, adding the LUN or attaching SAN storage might fail. You can select Cleanup Block Device on the Add Shared Block page.
What to do next
To obtain the latest capacity information of a LUN, select the target LUN on the Shared Block tab and click Refresh Capacity.
