  • Issue ID: ZCF-5355.
  • Component/product: Observability analysis and log collection management.
  • Status: Open.
  • Priority/severity: P1.
  • Affected version: 1.2.0.

Problem description

After system logs, audit logs, or event logs are selected or cleared and the changes are saved successfully, the Update Time field in the list may still show the time when the platform was first created and cannot reflect the most recent configuration change.

Symptoms

  • Log collection targets are changed and saved successfully.
  • Update Time in the list does not change.
  • The time field alone cannot indicate whether the configuration has taken effect.

Impact

The most recent configuration change cannot be confirmed from the update time in the list, which may lead to the incorrect conclusion that collection targets were not updated.

Workaround

  1. Before saving, record the operation time and the original selection state of the three log types.
  2. Reopen the edit page and check whether the selection state is as expected.
  3. Trigger system, audit, and event logs separately and wait for two collection cycles.
  4. Query new logs generated after the operation time. New records should appear for enabled types, while records with new timestamps should stop appearing for disabled types.
  5. Historical logs remaining available for query is expected. Do not use Update Time in the list to determine whether the configuration has taken effect.

  • Product: ZCF.
  • Component: Network Service.
  • Version: 1.2.0.
