Issue/Introduction

This article describes how to adjust the cloud platform when changing a host switch port from Access to Trunk mode. It applies to the initial diagnosis and resolution of similar issues in ZStack Cloud.

Environment

  • Product: ZCF
  • Component: Cloud
  • Version: 3.x-5.5.30

Resolution

  1. During a low-traffic period, stop the workload before making the network change.
Note:

Before deleting or recreating network resources, confirm the workload impact, record the original network configuration, and ensure that a rollback plan is available.

  1. After configuring the switch, click Resource Center > Cloud Resource Pool > Virtual Resources > VM Instances on the ZStack Cloud main menu. On the VM instance details page, click Export in the upper-right corner to export a CSV file containing the VM instance IP and MAC addresses.
  2. Detach the NIC from the VM instance.
  3. Delete the L3 network and L2 network.
Note:

Before deleting the L3 network and L2 network, ensure that their CIDR information has been recorded.

  1. Add the L2 network and L3 network again.
  2. Attach the NIC to the VM instance, and specify its IP address and MAC address.
Note:

Stop the VM instance and record the NIC IP address and MAC address before attaching a NIC. If the VM instance has multiple NICs, record the IP address and MAC address of each NIC separately.
