Issue/Introduction
This article describes how to troubleshoot hosts that are disconnected after a cloud platform upgrade. It applies to the initial diagnosis and resolution of similar issues in ZStack Cloud.
Environment
- Product: ZCF
- Component: Cloud
- Version: 3.x-5.5.30
Symptoms
Some hosts are disconnected after a cloud platform upgrade, and an openIPMI package version conflict is reported.
Possible causes
A third-party package installed separately on the host causes a package conflict. It is not recommended that you install third-party RPM packages on a host.
Resolution
- Run the following command on the host to uninstall the third-party package:

Before uninstalling the package, confirm the dependency relationship of the package in the current environment.
[root@localhost ~]# yum remove openIPMI- Return to the cloud platform UI and Reconnect the host. The host reconnects successfully.
